UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

As the Senior Digital Product Manager, develop strategies to create and/or acquire new products, services and capabilities to meet emerging market opportunities and further differentiate our existing product suite. Create and deliver a holistic, integrated, customer experience across multi-channel product, solution and service programs that will exceed expectations. Manage the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with sales, marketing and operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met and we are delivering winning products.


  • Help to ensure quality through UAT testing
  • Lead the development of new/modified processes and procedures to support product strategy
  • Take on project management and/or business analysis responsibilities when those roles are not present
  • Understand needs of the user, stakeholders, and partners and how they relate to product(s) managed
  • Apply KPIs, user research, customer input, business needs, and other sources to the prioritization of product features and an evolving product vision
  • Define product strategy and maintain roadmaps for digital products
  • Transform data to insight and product decisions
  • Identify resource gaps and make business cases to acquire resources that will aid the delivery of product goals
  • Assess key market factors, including competitive landscape, consumer insights and unmet customer needs as input to innovative products, services, and programs to meet the unique needs of users and stakeholders
  • Approve product for launch
  • Advocate for the end-user and identify opportunities to improve products to benefit the user experience
  • As a change agent stay current on digital trends and ensure that products and features remain relevant
  • Translate requirements for multiple audiences using Job Stories (JTBD) or other relevant formats
  • Ensure timely delivery of product goals
  • Create and deliver product-centered presentations to diverse audiences
  • Manage vendor relationships and facilitate vendor evaluation and build vs. buy decisions
  • Manage products and features through the entire SDLC - unafraid to challenge whether a product/feature is still useful
  • Provide input to marketing on the design marketing tests including messaging, creative, channel, design and targeting.
  • Manage personnel needs and allocations as part of the personnel scheduling committee
  • Communicate statuses and shifting priorities to all relevant stakeholders, negotiate for desired outcomes
  • Ensure market/business need to product fit
  • Prioritize competing work requests
  • Create and deliver training on digital products as needed
  • Strategically assist in the design and delivery of a holistic and consistent user experience across products
  • Take on project management and/or business analysis responsibilities when those roles are not present
  • Understand needs of the user, stakeholders, and partners and how they relate to product(s) managed



  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Information Technology, HCI, Business, or equivalent; Master's degree/MBA preferred
  • 6+ Years experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or related field
  • Experience leading large digital efforts (1y+/multi-million dollar product development efforts in the web and mobile space)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience presenting to all levels of the organization
  • Experience working across disciplines (IT, Marketing, Sales, etc.) and analyzing stakeholder needsSDLC
  • Ability to apply great ideas from multiple diverse sources to find the best solution to a problem or set of problems
  • Self- starter with ability to deal with ambiguity and to adapt and embrace change
  • Skill with computers and mobile devices; able to use and adopt necessary software productivity products and new platforms as needed
  • Agile/Scrum exposure as a Product Owner or Scrum Master preferred
  • Health insurance or healthcare experience preferred
  • Past supervisory experience of digital or design professionals preferred
  • Analytics/data-driven background preferred
  • Experience with multi-channel digital asset delivery preferred
  • Experience collaborating with diverse groups to create requirements in Job Story (JTBD) format preferred
