Our UPMC Western Maryland Human Resources team has an exciting opportunity available as a Recruiter! This is a full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Work arrangements are flexible! On site, hybrid and fully remote are options based on individual experience and preference.
The Recruiter will be responsible for non-nursing recruitment for UPMC Western Maryland. Daily job responsibilities may include posting job opportunities, reviewing applications, preparing salary recommendations, extending offers of employment, and much more.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary employment consultant for designated departments.
- Choose the most qualified candidates to refer to departments based upon documented objective criteria consistent with the legal requirements, job description, qualifications, and business unit policies in a timely manner.
- Facilitate job posting system. Confirm job requirements on recruitment request form with those on the approved job description to assure correct requirements are posted.
- Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and works on special projects as requested.
- Conduct employment screening interviews for internal and external applicants, of all levels and types of positions, including management.
- Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities
- Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and at least one year of recruitment experience required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of recruitment experience required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
