Description

UPMC Jameson is hiring a General Maintenance 2 - HVAC/Service Tech to join the Facilities Team! This full-time role will primarily work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Afternoon and/or midnight shift in the boiler room will also be required. Weekend and holiday work will be required once trained on an as-needed basis to assist with department scheduling. Candidates with general mechanical knowledge are encouraged to apply!

Purpose:

Responsibilities:

  • Access to areas where medications, syringes or sharps may be stored is necessary and permitted in order to perform routine tasks as delineated in the employee's job description.
  • Maintain/prepare job site/shop.
  • Clean, paint, and maintain mechanical and plant rooms/centers.
  • Minor preventive maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers.
  • Filter changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils.
  • Clean coils and equipment.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years general maintenance-related work experience OR completion of a trade school required. Military experience considered.
