UPMC Corporate is hiring a Manager for our Strategic Marketing and Intelligence Team! This role will have the opportunity to work at either our UPMC Steel Building or UPMC Williamsport. The position will work on site two days a week and work from home three days a week. Based on location, the pay can vary.
The Manager will work as a vital member of the Marketing Intelligence and Brand team to address marketing strategy and data analysis issues across clinical and corporate marketing for UPMC. This position provides: research (e.g., direct or assist as needed in quantitative and qualitative research projects), data analysis for marketing projects (e.g. demographics, psychographics, audience and insight analysis, capacity and competitive analysis), and measurement of marketing initiatives (e.g., success, failure and revisions to initiatives based on KPIs and metrics) to support a portfolio of corporate needs, service line and hospitals/facilities needs. The posiion will work with clinical marketing and business development leads to determine the targeting, value proposition, and budgets used in marketing materials focusing on both consumer and business to business opportunities.This Manager will manage internal and external resources to develop new data driven marketing campaigns focused on solving business problems. This position will also have a leadership role within marketing communications, taking the lead for corporate marketing communications projects when necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Special emphasis is placed upon developing new reporting capabilities that can be used by other members of the Department, as well as automating reporting and analytical tools. Understand data sources and tools that exist throughout UPMC (e.g., financial and quality data systems); apply this knowledge to the Department's projects; act as a liaison to the owners of these data systems to ensure they are applied to the Department's project. Identify and develop new sources of data; integrate these sources with existing databases.
- Serves as an expert resource to Clinical and Corporate Marketing Communications;
- Selected duties include, but are not limited to: the selection, use and/or creation of decision support tools such as utilization models - both descriptive and predictive; profiles and assessments of consumer and market trends; profiles and assessments of consumers; profiles and assessments of competitors and complimentors; profiles and assessments of clinical capacity and patient throughput; literature reviews; analysis of general marketing data.
- Support a portfolio of multiple active projects simultaneously (typically two to four)
- Actively research new trends and dynamics; identify market dynamics that may affect UPMC and convey these to the Departments' leaders; learn about UPMC's full spectrum of operations and markets served.
- Provide marketing and data analytics expertise in the development and support of various projects that focus on consumers, business partners, and competitors; driven by insights based on clinical utilization patterns.
- Synthesize findings and implications of data and analysis work into reports and exhibits that can be used by clients.
- Represent the Department on enterprise-wide work groups and teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree in business, statistics or data science with five years of relevant experience required.
- Master's level degree preferred.
- Experience conducting research programs including moderating focus groups and writing survey instruments.
- Experience with Excel and Powerpoint are required
- Experience with advanced statistical modeling tools and methods.
- Relevant experience in the following areas is required: market research, experience using quantitative, business intelligence and/or relational database, manipulation of data, statistical modeling and projections, and marketing communications.

- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
