Operates Shuttle Bus and Van on assigned routes. Maintain documentation on rider-ship. Maintain safety checks, routine maintenance check on shuttle vehicles and cleans vehicles.
This psotion is a casual job and will work various shifts throughout the day as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Participates actively in maintaining cleanliness standards in bus's and UPMC facilities.
- Complies with all UPMC Employee Transit policies and procedures.Standard Responsibilities
- Participates actively in maintaining cleanliness standards in bus's and UPMC facilities.
- Develop and foster a strong working relationship with all riders and co-workers. Provide the highest level of customer service to all passengers. Demonstrate safe working and driving actions.
- Maintain ridership information and report per company processes. Maintain route standards and only stray from designated route with permission of management or law enforcement.
- Understands and monitors D.O.T. compliance. Remain compliant with all regulations and guidelines established by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA), Driver License, Medical Card, Motor Vehicle Resource (MVR).
- Fuel vehicle according to company policy.
Qualifications
- High school graduate/GED or 1 year previous driving experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED
- Deep understanding of transportation regulations and governmental policies related to transporting people required
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to manage change in a busy environment required
- Good driving record required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Passenger Endorsement Required. Cleared to drive according to FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- CDL Passenger Endorsement
- Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- FMSCA Clearinghouse Drug and Alcohol Registration
- DOT Medical Card Clearance
