Description
Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for a good work/life balance? A position where you can get off a little early on Fridays? UPMC Neurosciences Institute in Harrisburg needs an LPN to join their small tight knit team.
There's 5 providers at this practice location. The LPN maintains the Botox program.
Hours: NO EVENINGS! NO WEEKENDS! NO ON-CALL! Monday - Friday schedule 8am-4:30/4:45pm, Friday leave early by 4pm!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain botox program patients
- Obtain authorizations, order botox, draw up botox for physican
- Work closely with Medical assistants and RN
- Room patients, obtain vital signs and weight, if staffing needs require
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc. in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- One year clinical experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
