UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Are you looking to make a true impact on the lives of others, while also having the ability to advance and grow in your career?  The Green Home, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility located in Wellsboro, PA is currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team! 

 

Full time positions are eligible for a generous sign-on bonus!  

 
Sign-On Bonus Details:
• $2,000 sign-on bonus available with a one year work commitment 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care skill as directed by the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in a safe manner according to policy and procedure.
  • Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient needs.
  • Assist with food distribution and feeding residents.
  • Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, hair care, and dressing Assist in transferring residents.
  • Document in the medical record according to established procedures.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Successful completion of nursing assistant training program (Required).
  • Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • May in the course of their job duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Certified Nurse Assistant Certification (Required)
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance w Renewal
  • OAPSA
