Description
UPMC Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers are hiring a full-time Manager, Diagnostic Radiology to join their team in Slippery Rock, PA! In this position you will work Monday-Friday during daylight hours supervising technical staff and directing the day-to-day operation of the division. Additionally, you will provide technical coverage as required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day operations, control supply inventories, match division needs with personnel skills, coordinate quality control activities and accept responsibility for the resolution of problems that arise.
- Establish and maintain an atmosphere of caring and support for patients, visitors, medical staff and co-workers.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit by assisting co-workers and offering assistance on an ongoing basis.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
- Manage all day to day operational aspects of the general radiology department: staffing, coverage, ED, OR, Bethel Park, Monroeville Surgery Center (when needed).
- Perform hiring, dismissal, employee reviews, and training programs.
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs. Communicate effectively and concisely with all members of the healthcare team, verbally and in writing.

- Work closely with Radiology Managers, Supervisors, and Directors to develop a team atmosphere.
- Utilize human resource skills to develop and to maximize the performance of staff members.

- Accountable for all financial, operations, volume and quality for the department.
- Exhibit good listening skills.
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound technology.
- 3 years experience as a technologist is required.
- 2 years supervisory experience is required.
- Attendance and participation in continuing education programs required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT Certificate
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
