We're hiring a Nurse Director, Regulatory Compliance (RN) to join the UPMC team!
The Nurse Director, Regulatory Compliance (RN) provides leadership and strategic direction for regulatory processes, including Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Health, and other state and regulatory accreditations. They design, direct, and facilitate implementation of effective systems to evaluate regulatory compliance and continuous survey readiness. They collaborate with the other UPMC Directors and interface with system Regulatory and Accreditation Specialist in the Center for Quality, Safety, and Innovation.
This is a regular, full-time leadership opportunity. Local travel is required as needed by the department.

Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of proposed and new regulations and standards and initiates action to ensure compliance.
- Regularly update local and system management on status of regulatory performance at supervised facilities.
- Oversee and support the organizations compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations.
- Oversee and support the organizations compliance with all Joint Commission Standards.
- Oversee and support the organizations compliance with non-financial, clinically based CMS regulatory requirements.
- Participate in system Quality, Safety and Regulatory teams.
- Ensure that policies are current and compliant with all requirements.
- Serve as a resource on a broad range of regulations and standards.
- Educate managerial, medical, clinical, and ancillary staff to regulations and standards to develop an informed and effective health care team.
- Effectively collaborate and communicates with all levels of the organization and UPMC.
- Assist in review of Health Services Division and Health System Policies.
- Collaborate with other Director of Regulatory & Accreditation Services in establishing successful practices and conducting mock surveys.
- Facilitate the accomplishment of organizational goals and imperatives.
- Conduct ongoing assessments as to the state of compliance to all applicable regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- RN Degree is required
- Masters Degree is required
- 7-10 years healthcare related experience is required
- 5-7 years supervisory experience is preferred.
- Certification in related area of expertise is preferred.
- Department of Health, Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory requirements and survey processes desired.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
