Description
Purpose:
Perform a critical role in the creation of marketing plans, management, organization and development of referral patterns for the Wound & Hyperbaric Centers, focusing on community physicians, both within the System and outside of the UPMC Central PA System. Responsibilities would include planning, organization, and managing marketing activities for UPMC Pinnacle Wound & Hyperbaric Centers, located in Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Conduct and analyze statistics and information as it relates to marketing efforts. Uses appropriate tools to support the capture of marketing information. Provide operational support by attending UPMC Central PA events as requested, and this may include some evening and weekend events. Promotes Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine where appropriate, ensuring that the highest level of respect is given to physicians and nursing staff. Engaging the Medical Director and Program (Administrative) Director where appropriate in marketing activities where their presence would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of patient demographics in Central Pennsylvania, and marketing accordingly to those populations who would be at-risk for complex or chronic wounds. Provides physician education where appropriate to encourage understanding of both wound care and hyperbaric oxygen medicine.

Responsibilities:
- Makes marketing calls on potential referral sources, current referral sources and past referral sources regularly.
- Interfaces with the Marketing Department to ensure that the messages that are being used to promote wound care and HBO are appropriate and in keeping with all branding, messaging, and strategic initiatives of the system.
- Promotes the commitment of UPMC Central PA to meet the healthcare needs for the community and other key and related messaging.
- Uses appropriate tools including software applications to support and report on marketing efforts.
- Conducts and analyzes information as it relates to marketing activities that support the Wound & Hyperbaric Centers.
- Ability to create an annual plan that is reviewed every year by the Medical Director and Program (Administrative) Director, and once actions are agreed upon, execute the plan accordingly.
- Assumes the responsibilities of all other duties as assigned by the Program (Administrative) Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field. Experience in media and community relations. Excellent written and verbal skills. Competence in computer applications to support the position, and the ability to learn new applications quickly with the proper education. Competence in interpersonal and communication skills. Must have a valid PA driver's license. Marketing and digital marketing experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 5 years.

- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
