Description
Purpose:
This is an entry level position providing an on-the-job learning experience to becoming a certified ophthalmic technician. Comprehensive training and dedicated mentorship will be provided to ensure the success of every trainee.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with their vision needs.
- Obtain patient histories according to department protocols.
- Perform vision tests.
- Learn ophthalmology and have regular assessments.
- Clean and set up rooms between patients.
- Daily re-stocking room supplies and medications.
- Maintain and clean instruments per protocol.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and an interest in the field of ophthalmology/optometry.
- Medical knowledge preferred.

- Act 34
