UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Res Project Coordinator WPIC | The Office of Academic Computing (OAC) and Sleep and Behavioral Neuroscience Center (SBNC)


The Office of Academic Computing (OAC) and Sleep and Behavioral Neuroscience Center (SBNC) are looking for a team member to join a project management group, at Western Psychiatric Hospital, to provide support and services for investigators within the University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry and beyond. The Res Project Coordinator WPIC will provide oversight and management of projects from the pre-budget phase through project closeout, with responsibilities including, but not limited to assessment of estimated scope, timeline and budget; defining project deliverables and requirements; meeting and documentation management; ongoing monitoring and control of deliverables and development tasks, with focus on change management; facilitation of product delivery and hand-off.  The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator; flexible; positive and adaptable; organized; detail-oriented and analytical, self-motivating. This position offers work from home opportunities. 

This position is grant funded.


  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordinate project kick-off, active development, project closeout, in addition to meeting communications and documentation management.
  • Assess and generate scope, timeline, and budget estimates, in addition to defining project deliverables and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to their research projects.
  • Responsible for research data mining, reporting, and business analytics.
  • Work with associate project manager and research administrator on quality and efficiency process improvement.


  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.
  • Project Management experience preferred. 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34 with renewal
