UPMC Medical Education's Mission is to Recruit, Train, and Retain the best and most diverse doctors to care for our patients. The UPMC ME office is a team focused environment that provides oversight and operational support for over 180 medical, dental, pharmacy, and podiatry residencies and fellowships. As the third largest ACGME sponsoring institution, UPMC ME onboards over 650 new residents and fellows annually.
The Project Analyst will act as the initial point of contact for internal user questions related to our residency management system. Additionally the position will assist with processing and tracking documentation for our annual onboarding and promotion efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve residency management system (MedHub) requests, escalating requests as needed to other office staff.
- Educate users on MedHub best practices
- Generate scheduled and ad-hoc reports from MedHub for various business needs
- Assist with collecting, processing, and formatting information for annual promotion of residents and fellows.
- Assist with collecting and processing of documentation for annual Onboarding of residents/fellows.
- Verify, record and track status of onboarding documents
- Communicates with new hire to resolve issues with submitted documentation
- Communicate with members of UPMC management and staff regarding assigned projects
- Assist in the development of business cases, work plans, communications, etc.
- Maintain project documents within approved archival systems.
- Generate necessary project documentation, including meeting minutes, project deliverables, etc.
- Handle project administrative duties including scheduling requirements, SharePoint requirements, etc.
- Advise supervising Project Manager and others of pending due dates.
- Identify and help resolve potential issues and/or barriers which are critical to the success of a project.
Qualifications
- B.A. degree and 2 years experience (preferred)
- Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred Excellent computer skills required, including MS Office Suite
- Technical customer service and/or troubleshooting experience is preferred
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required
- Very well organized and deadline conscious.
- Project Management knowledge and future potential to manage multiple projects required.
