UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Purpose:
Manages the Imaging Department's non-technical daily operations at multiple locations. Serves as the Radiology Information System Administrator and the compliance representative for the department, ensuring total fiscal compliance and maximizing revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs/utilizes the right tools to capture customer satisfaction and evaluate concerns. Creates and promotes a work team environment where the focus is routinely placed on achieving the highest level of patient/customer satisfaction. Hardwires evidence-based best practices to enhance the customer/patient experience. Has an understanding of customer-centric service metrics and implements plans to achieve the highest levels of patient/customer experience. Understands that patient safety is everyone's responsibility. Speaks up in a non-confrontational and educational manner when seeing a safety breech; develops or participates in a project or action plan to reduce risk or mitigate harm for patients, as appropriate.
  • Serves as the System Administrator for Radiology Information System and the Information Technology contact for other systems required to support Imaging. Coordinates testing between Susquehanna Health and the vendor.
  • States clear expectations and specific timelines/deadlines when assigning and committing to project work. Dedicates necessary resources to achieve intended results. Adheres to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards. Strongly encourages the team to accept responsibility and models those behaviors outlined in the Code of Conduct. Is a good financial steward of the organization's resources and develops department plans that utilize resources effectively.
  • Monitors and updates RL6 patient events and compliant tracking.
  • Helps to establish operational and budgetary goals, monitoring outcomes to ensure compliance by operating within budget and participating in the decision-making process.
  • Solving Problems and taking a proactive approach to anticipating and preventing problems. When a problem occurs, defines those problems, investigates obstacles, gathers relevant information, and decides on an appropriate solution. Is able to anticipate problems before they occur and develop action plans to mitigate the impact. Good leaders are able to build consensus in teams to solve problems for the best outcomes.
  • Exceptional leaders are often keenly aware of emerging trends and place the organization in a position to take advantage of opportunities. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare is required within two years of hire for all future applicants.

Three years experience working in Healthcare/Medical Imaging required.

Two years of management or related experience required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
