Description
The Office Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the Clinical areas of the office and manages activities of clinical personnel to ensure efficient and quality patient care. The Office Manager will manage workflows and clinical policies to ensure efficient and up to date documentation and provide support to clinical areas when needed and required training level is available.
Responsibilities:
- Assigns duties by way of verbal or written instruction. Prepares work schedules to ensure adequate staffing in all areas of the office.
- Enforces office policies and procedures. Responsible for the disciplinary process, including appropriate documentation. Conducts office meetings.
- Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
- Developing and implementing short- and long-term work plans and objectives for clinical functions.
- Conducts employee evaluations. Responsible for the interviewing process and makes recommendations for hiring/terminating staff to Senior Leadership.
- Participates in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clinical staff.
- Operates within the context of an established budget. Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines.
- Develops and implements clinic policies and procedures.
- Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
- Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in health or business administration and three years of office management experience including one year in a health care organization.
- OR Master's Degree in health or business administration and 1 year of office management experience including one year in a health care organization.
- OR Associate's Degree in health or business administration and 8 years of office management experience including one year in a health care organization. OR High School Diploma and 8 years of office management experience including one year in a health care organization.
