UPMC Urology of Central PA is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Camp Hill location. UPMC has excellent benefits and a work schedule that allows a great work/life balance? UPMC's Urology of Central PA is the nurses dream, with multiple in-house procedures completed daily, nurses will get a great Mon-Fri schedule, and be able to use their skills!
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm, NO WEEKENDS! NO EVENINGS! NO HOLIDAYS! NO ON-CALL!
Responsibilities:
- Assist physician with all aspects of patient care including assessment, evaluation and education.
- Assist with procedures i.e. Cystoscopy, catheter changes, injections, bladder installations for chemotherapy etc.
- Room patients and obtain history and VS, obtain refills for medications
- Triages patient situations and coordinates care with physician
- Formulates daily goals and a plan of care for patients that involves the patient as partner and considers the individual needs of the patient in a holistic manner.
- Creates a caring and compassionate patient focused experience
- Actively participates in unit activities
- Provide assistance to care team members.
- Provides detailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families
- Regularly seeks feedback on performance and applies continuous professional improvement.
- Supports continuous learning in the clinical areas by participating in organizational and system programs. I
- dentifies opportunities for clinical quality as well as workplace improvement.
- Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues.
- Patient documentation is comprehensive and promotes communication between caregivers.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- One year clinical experience preferred
- New graduates welcome ot apply
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
- All clearances must be dated within 90 days of hire
