*UPMC is immediately hiring full-time, permanent RNs who are interested in joining our UPMC Travel Staffing team! This team is UPMC’s newly created internal travel nursing agency, paired with UPMC’s fantastic benefits. We are specifically looking for RNs with experience in Med Surg, ICU, ED, OR, OB, PACU and Neonatal ICU. These RNs will travel on six-week assignments to 2 out of 3 states where UPMC facilities are located (Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland).

The Jan. 13th Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure individuals either get vaccinated or receive a requested exemption by Jan. 27th. For individuals who choose an mRNA vaccine, a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna must be received by Monday, Feb. 28th, or within the designated timeframe after your first dose is received.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated competence in professional nursing practice. 
  • One year nursing experience required. 
  • Must be able to pass all UPMC required testing for Registered Nurses. 
  • Nurses must agree to be available to work 72 hours in a bi-weekly pay period, including but not limited to: day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Overtime is available after 40 hours worked per week. UPMC Travel Staffing nurses will be willing and able to report for work at all UPMC facilities.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • BLS/CPR
  • NIH/NIHSS required within 60 days of hire
  • RN license required. PA RN license upon hire. Second state license (NY or MD) within 6 months of hire. Third state license (NY or MD) within 1 year of hire.
  • Must rotate assignments on 6-week basis with potential to redeploy to another facility mid-assignment.
  • Cerner or Epic electronic health record experience preferred.
  • Basic arrythmia training preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for critical care/ED roles
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred for PACU and ED roles
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for OB roles

 Once you accept an offer – but before you start, you will need the following (we will provide instructions on how to obtain):

  • OAPSA, Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33 Child Clearance, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
