Description

We're searching for someone to join our UPMC team in a Research Support role.  This is a temporary position that is estimated to last between 4-6 months.  While in the temporary role, the Research Support employee will work daylight hours and have flexible work arrangements!  This is a paid position.

In this role, the Research Support employee will work with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to support clinical research trials related to COVID-19 and to collect timely and accurate data. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills and is able to work on projects/tasks simultaneously.  Additionally, they are highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate entry of patient data collected for clinical trials by performing the following tasks:
    • Assist in verifying subject eligibility according to protocols by reviewing medical records and databases.
    • Meet with the principal investigator and Clinical Research Coordinator/Supervisor to review patient status on as needed basis.
  • Responsible for prompt and accurate data collection for protocols.
  • In addition, will contact study participants as needed via phone or electronic communication to obtain COVID-19 vaccine status if unable to verify through medical records or databases.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma strongly preferred
  • Minimum of two years of undergraduate education strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and use of MS office software products and the ability to work with PC database applications
