Description

UPMC is in need of a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cumberland Valley OBGYN office in Mechanicsburg. This OBGYN office has 3 physicians and 1 Nurse Practicitioner. Work life balance is fantastic with Monday-Friday hours only. NO LATE EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO ON-CALL!

Hours: Mon 7:30am-4:30pm, Tues, Wed, Thurs 7:30am-5pm, Fri 7:30am-12pm. EARLY OFFICE CLOSE EVERY FRIDAY!

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Lead
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, weight, and general assessment of patient 
  • Phlebotomy skills helpful for blood draws
  • Perform Non-Fetal Stress Tests
  • Initiate obstetrics interview process with prenatal patients
  • Order labs and obtain medication order and refills
  • Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.
  • Formulates goals and a plan of care for patients that involves the patient as partner and considers the individual needs of the patient in a holistic manner.
  • Triages patient situations and coordinates care with physician.
  • Assist physician with all aspects of patient care including assessment, evaluation and education.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum six months experience
  • BSN preferred.
  • OB and/or GYN experience highly preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state.

CPR Certification. UPMC approved national certification preferred. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
 

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
