UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

UPMC's Cardiac Consultants in Lancaster in looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. Cardiac Consultants is a practice of 7 Physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Physician Assistant. The office has a family oriented type of feel and focuses on being a team in the office. The LPN would work primarily in the Lancaster office, but are added to a rotation with the other LPN's & MA's to work a week in the Lititz office. 

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fridays 8am-2:30pm or 4pm. There is a rotation of LPN's & MA's for working until 4pm on Friday, the rest of the weeks you will get off early on Friday at 2:30pm. (i.e. once every 3 weeks rotation) - discuss details and exact rotation in interview.


  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, weight, and assess patient's general condition
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • Draw blood and run the Coumadin Clinic
  • Teach patients and/or family how to give themselves injections
  • Help with the nurse triage line 
  • Review lab results and consult provider as needed
  • Obtain prescription refills and preauthorizations
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Administer medications as needed
  • Comply with all policies and procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data



  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
  • One year clinical experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
