UPMC's Union Deposit Internal Medicine in Harrisburg is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their team. This office has 7 providers in the office daily. The LPN will provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.
Hours: Monday-Friday, various shifts between 7am-5pm. Required to work one evening until 7pm bi-weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and assess patient's general condition, take vital signs and weight
- Performing venipuncture and
- Perform EKG's and Spirometry
- Perform Medicare Wellness visits and work to improve Health Maintenance Quality Scores
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health)
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM when needed
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- One year clinical experience preferred.
- Previous office experience desired
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
