Across UPMC, our guiding principle is to always prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and members. UPMC believes that vaccination is important, helps protect all, and advocates that everyone who can be vaccinated should be vaccinated.

UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Executive Assistant II- UPMC Health Plan Executive Suite


UPMC Health Plan is looking for an energetic and organized individual to fill an exciting opportunity as an Executive Assistant II! 

The role supports the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO of UPMC Health Plan/ Executive Vice President of UPMC and President of Government Programs. In addition to the below responsibilities, due to the nature of this position, this person must remain professional and confidential at all times.

The position is in the US Steel building on the 55th floor and the role is from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.


  • Develops reports for executive or department
  • Develops and sends correspondence on behalf of department and department head (i.e., draft and send meeting minutes, draft and send meeting events
  • General administrative responsibilities to include: answering and directing phone calls, organizing and filing, preparing meeting materials, ordering catered lunches, and other miscellaneous tasks
  • Maintain accurate and organized records
  • Assist and support the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO of UPMC Health Plan, and President of Government Programs
  • Schedule/coordinate meetings based on calendar availability
  • Submit expenses for processing in accordance with UPMC policy
  • Prepare travel accommodations when needed
  • Daily tasks as requested
  • Receive, sort, and triage incoming mail and email. 
  • Assist with various types of meetings including board meetings 
  • Remain confidential at all times
  • Stellar organization and prioritization skills are a must



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eight (8) years experience in an increasingly responsible administrative support role
  • Five (5+) years experience with support at the executive level
  • Demonstrates proficiency in core MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings-
  • Experience assisting management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations-
  • Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management
