Cole Place, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility located in Coudersport, PA, is currently seeking Nurse Aide Trainees (NA Trainees) to join our team! This is a paid training and UPMC will cover the costs associated with becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
We are now accepting applications for our CNA Training course to be held at The Green Home, located in Wellsboro, PA, in November 2022.
This is a paid 16-day training program. Students will be hired as NA Trainees while attending the training in Muncy. Upon successful completion of the training candidates will complete a four (4) week orientation at Cole Place. NA Trainees will move into CNA positions after completing the training and successfully passing the CNA assessment.
Interested candidates must be able to complete the 16-day training which is full time, day shift and commit to a CNA position with Cole Place after completion. Students can stay at the Hospitality Inn at UPMC Williamsport, located in Williamsport, PA, for the duration of the training. Qualifications
Educational/Knowledge Requirements for a CNA/NA Trainee:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of nursing assistant training program.
- Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- May in the course of their job duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
Licensure/Certification:
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Older Adult Protective Service Act
- Act 14
