Summer Associates Program
An 11-week, paid internship that exposes students to real-world business opportunities. Emphasis is placed on professional development, networking, and social responsibility, making for a unique internship experience. Read more from our Summer Associate alumni on our blog! Summer Student Nurse Internship
A 10-week, paid internship that allows students to provide direct patient care with the guidance of a trained preceptor and attend educational sessions. Summer Residency Program in the Health Services Division
A 500-hour, paid internship that allows graduate students to gain practical health care management experience throughout the Health Services Division. Learn more and submit your application through January 15, 2017.
A paid program in which undergraduate and graduate Health Science students learn the rationale, design strategies, methods, and other aspects of biomedical research.
Clinical Neurophysiology Program
A paid program that provides clinical experience and educational seminars concurrent with CNIM certification principals. Learn more and submit your application.

An immersive leadership development program that provides participants with three, one-year rotations in various areas throughout finance and accounting. A two-year rotational program for graduate-level students interested in healthcare operations and management. Tracks currently exist within our Insurance Services, Health Services, and International Services divisions as well as with UPMC Enterprises. Educational institutions are encouraged to work directly with Volunteer Services, education offices, and their professional connections for placements; note that Student Experience Agreements are required. UPMC offers residencies and fellowships for medical students in a variety of locations, departments, and specialties. Medical students desiring to do a rotation at UPMC must work with their academic institution to ensure an agreement is in place. For more information, click here.
