With excellent on-the-job training, many positions in Surgical Services do not require a college degree, empowering those interested in launching an amazing career right out of high school. Central Sterile Processing Technician
At UPMC, central sterile processing technicians play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive safe, hygienic procedures by working behind the scenes to clean, inspect, sterilize, and package all reusable surgical equipment.
Surgical Technologist
Dedicated to setting the operating team up for success, surgical technologists meticulously prepare operating rooms, arrange and organize surgical equipment, pass instruments to surgeons and assistants, and help with procedure clean-up and restocking.

Anesthesia Technician
