The Invasive Cardiac Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, life‑saving cardiac care by performing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures with skill, precision, and confidence. This position blends technical expertise with independent judgment and collaboration, supporting physicians and clinical teams in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment where patient safety and outcomes come first.
As a key member of the cardiovascular team, the technologist serves as a patient advocate, technical expert, and procedural partner—ensuring excellence from preparation through recovery while advancing efficient, compassionate care.

This full-time position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure all imaging studies are accurately coded, tracked through PACS, networked to the electronic medical record, and charged appropriately. Maintain complete and timely documentation.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocol and time-out procedures for all cases. Review physician orders, patient history, and apply departmental protocols to achieve optimal results.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, reduce anxiety, and gain cooperation. Demonstrate respect, compassion, and professionalism in all patient and team interactions.
• Function competently as a first assist during invasive procedures. Administer contrast under the direction of the procedural physician.
• Maintain aseptic technique and support an environment focused on patient safety throughout all procedures. Adhere to radiation safety practices including shielding, monitoring, and documentation.
• Perform and maintain point-of-care testing standards, including daily quality control checks on procedural equipment. Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support efficient patient care and throughput. Provide assistance to other departments as assigned.
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled in accordance with system policies. Some responsibilities may vary based on specific assignment or procedural location.
• Maintain ongoing competency and professional development related to the role. Apply updated knowledge and skills to daily practice.
