UPMC Child Advocacy Center of Central PA is seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and mission-driven Mental Health Services Coordinator to join our team. This unique role supports children and families impacted by trauma by providing advocacy, resource coordination, and mental health support services. Travel Between Sites Required:

• Primarily based in Jonestown (100 E. Queen Street) two days per week
• Harrisburg location three days per week
• May provide occasional coverage at the Carlisle satellite office (49 Brookwood Avenue, Carlisle, PA)

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Occasional after-hours support for urgent appointments (approximately eight times per year)
• Potential future opportunity to assist with support group coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy, support, and resource coordination to children and families when concerns of child abuse have been identified.
• Conduct social and mental health history assessments with children and caregivers.
• Complete trauma screenings and assessments to identify signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress.
• Connect children and families with appropriate community resources, mental health services, and trauma-focused treatment options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support the comprehensive needs of children and families.
• Educate families about available services and guide them through the coordination of care process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care for families receiving services.
• Serve as a compassionate and trusted advocate throughout the Child Advocacy Center process.
