Technology Lead, PC Consultant

UPMC is looking for a Technology Lead PC Consultant to join their team. This position is Fully ON-SITE. 409 South Second Street Harrisburg PA is home base, but the position covers 10 campuses and applicants will need to provide own transportation to commute to other locations at times. (Milage is reimbursed).

Description
A Technical Lead provides support for UPMC end user audio visual and computing devices. This support includes hardware, applications, and data communications troubleshooting. The Technical Lead performs tasks and completes projects under the guidance of their manager.

Responsibilities:

• Provide service to UPMC staff, patients, families and visitors, while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures.
• Provide second level trouble-shooting support as assigned by the ISD Help Desk, coordinating efforts with multiple teams to resolve issues, documenting findings with staff and the help desk, and delegating responsibilities to team members when necessary.
• Draw on IT knowledge, previous experience, and other resources to independently resolve issues.
• Must be able to work within the ISD trouble ticket platform, currently Cherwell, transitioning to Service Now. Tickets must be resolved in a timely fashion, keeping all vested parties informed.
• Coordinate multiple or complex projects. Track all activities and assignments and provide regular status updates to leadership when requested.
• Demonstrate appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications with fellow team members, end users, and other support groups.

• Continually develop skills through education, self-study, vendor trainings, etc. and in partnership with management, actively pursue opportunities to broaden scope and remain current on new and emerging technologies.
• In addition to Windows-based computers, a Lead PC Support Consultant must work with regional PC Support on non-Windows technologies such as mobile devices, audio/visual systems, printers, Cherwell (ticketing service), and Active Directory.
• Lead PC Consultant is responsible for maintaining the digital signage system in the Central PA region. This includes working with Facilities to install new displays as well as troubleshooting failing displays.
• Provide general and preventative maintenance in all meeting spaces.
• Support hybrid OR streaming events from procedure and operating rooms. This includes providing the necessary hardware needed to capture local scope images, camera images, as well as physician audio while broadcasting remote audio back to the room.
• Provide AV assistance (off campus occasionally) for various departments, after normal business hours when needed.
